Frequently Asked Questions
Please read our FAQ before sending us a message.
Some flowers last longer than others. Roses, iris & lilies generally last 3-5 days, however daisies, carnations, sunflowers, alstromeria and other types of flowers can last up to 14 days if watered and cared for properly.
Keep your flowers in a cool area, 65 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit. Place your flowers out of direct sunlight, heating or cooling vents, and direct drafts from the sides or above. Don’t place your flowers on anything that gives off heat such as TV’s or heating radiators. Avoid leaving your flowers in the car.
Our website shows some items in a vase and others in a basket or other type of container. If the vase, basket or container shown is available we will use that. If the vase, basket or container is not available we will substitute with a similar looking vases, baskets or containers unless you have chosen “Do not substitute- contact me if unavailable” on our order form. At this point we will call you to give you other options of vases, baskets or containers
Add water to the vase everyday. Be sure your flowers have plenty of water and do not dry out. If the water gets cloudy you can change it out with fresh water and re-cut the stems, about ½” off. Use luke warm water!
You can select a delivery date on the order form. If the item is placed before 1 pm in the time zone of delivery we can usually have the order delivered same day. If the delivery date you have requested is not possible we will contact you to select an alternate date.
If you have specific instructions for the delivery of your gift bouquet, please note them in the Special Instructions field during checkout. In all other cases, if the recipient is not at home when delivery is attempted, we will either:
o Call the recipient to schedule an appropriate delivery time
o Leave a note on the recipient’s door asking them to contact us to schedule a delivery time
o Leave the arrangement in a covered, secure area of the home (porch, garage, or other entrance)
o Leave the gift bouquet with a neighbor and place a message on the recipient’s door with this information
If you are having the flowers delivered, have the recipient’s full name, address and telephone number ready. Any special information such as a work number or times the recipient will be at home are also helpful. Have your payment information ready. Be sure to write out what message you would like to include on the enclosure card. (Your florist can offer suggestions if you’re not sure what you want the card to say.)
